I'm just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

Oh well I'm going home
Back to the place where I belong
And where your love has always been enough for me
I'm not running from
No, I think you got me all wrong
I don't regret this life I chose for me
But these places and these faces are getting old
I said these places and these faces are getting old
So I'm going home, I'm going home :)

Yeay yeay! We will be back in KL tomorrow!
Oh I so so miss my parents, my Little Bro, my home sweet home
and of course, my girls too! I can't hardly wait!!!

Owh dan selamat menyambut Ramadhan, semua!
Marilah bersama memeriahkannya. Ameen :)

"Happiness pulses with every beat of my heart"
~ Emily Logan Decens

No slogan, no catch, nothing. Simply answer the questions.
Indahnya dunia kalau dapat menang RM25,000! I want I want!

It is the time of the year again!
Air Asia with free seats! We want we want!

Ada satu tingkap di study area yang tiada langsir dan perlu langsir untuk menghalang cahaya dari menembusi terus ke arah PC. Maka on Saturday, langsir was bought, altered and hanged. Yeay PC is protected.

We went to the Husband's friend's reception on Sunday (setiap weekends, ada saja his friends kahwin hehehe); the setting was gorgeous!

I have this RM35 redemption from Body Shop which is valid until December this year. But since I am out of lip balm kepercayaanku and my skin is in need of some TLC, yesterday I went and bought myself these and Oceanus for the Husband, as his spare perfume. Teehee.

We watched this movie last night. Seriously funny stuff!!!

The LO; signed, sealed, picked-up. Alhamdulillah :)

A litle something for a little something. I can't wait! Hehe.

I wanna be the wind that fills your sails
And be the hand that lifts your veil
And be the moon that moves your tides
The sun coming up in your eyes
Be the wheel that never rusts
And be the spark that lights you up

What I think. On what I saw on TV yesterday:

(a) Reality TV shows like The Moment of Truth will never make pass the Malaysian censorship. To reveal your deepest secret to the whole world? It is embarrassing! Aib. Although I told the Husband I will have no problem getting the dough. Err or will I? Ngeee.

(b) We were watching Ali Baba Bujang Lapok last night when I sang along to the song ‘Beginilah nasib diriku yang malang’, the one Ali Baba (Aziz Satar) sang on his way to cari kayu in the wood; rupa-rupanya I know the wordings to whole song! I didn’t even know that I know. Hahaha. That’s the effect P.Ramlee movies have on me. That man was a genius!

(c) It’s funny how someone petite like Yasmin Hani seems large besides Sazzy Falaq, who is even more petite, and who I think is one of the cutest Malaysian celebrities. Tekalah cerita apa I’m talking about? Hehe.

(d) I saw on Buletin Utama, Pak Lah mencuba KTMB commuter and LRT lalu teringat zaman-zaman berkomuter ke pejabat. MasyaAllah, dugaan dan cabaran yang cukup hebat; the delay, kepadatan manusia, kebusukan manusia, kerosakan komuter. Memang meletihkan dan menjatuhkan moral. Sesungguhnya. So I must say to Pak Lah this: "Dear Pak Lah, your one morning experience is merely the tip-of-iceberg, compared to what thousands other users face on daily basis, terima kasih."

(e) I like watching the Olympics, mainly because it reminds me there’s something bigger, something larger than life that is happening in China; a friendly war, a harmless battle. It warms my heart, really.

I’m waiting for the books I ordered from
Ujana Ilmu to arrive. I hope they'll be here soon. I'm in need of a good read. You have a good weekend, mates!

Updated at 2 p.m:

My books have arrived! Yeay!
[The order-and-delivery service is quite impressive, I must say :)]

Don't hide away like an ocean
But you can see, but you can smell
and the sound of your waves coming down

I guess I'm experiencing some sort of writer's block. Terlalu banyak mahu dicerita tetapi malas mahu bercerita. Maka terhasillah entri ini.

What I've been up to all morning:

(a) Revamped my Foodie Blog. But somehow the comment box refuses to appear. Degil. Silalah melawat si dia yang berwajah baru.

(b) Shopped for books at Ujana Ilmu,
much thanks to dear
Yunik for the introduction.

We're like cars on a cable
And life's like an hourglass glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button, girl
So cradle your head in your hands
And breathe, just breathe, breathe, just breathe

The second interview (or 'appointment with Dato', as they called it) went well --- much, much better than I expected actually; since 'small-talking' is not my strongest point (more on that later), I think I did okay –-- and alhamdulillah, I got the job :) I guess I should not be telling you guys this until I formally sign the LO and all, but heck, lantaklah, I just want to share the good news :) So yes, I am happy and I can’t believe this, but I’m actually kind of ecstatic to start work again! Hehe.

Law Revisited. Ngeee.

I’ll definitely miss staying at home, but it’s about time lah. Cukuplah, makin lama break nanti, makin tumpul kemahiran dan ingatan. I hope kesemuanya akan berjalan lancar. Oh I’ll be starting in September anyway, so I’ve still got 2 weeks untuk berfoya-foya di rumah. Teehee.

Now that you know that small-talking and mingling with strangers and yada yada yada are not my forte, I shall also tell you that (believe it or not) I am actually kind of shy *blush*. I am no snob; I'm just not that friendly. And I guess I’m the type of people who takes time to warm up to others. Hey I don’t know why I’m explaining myself! But well, I just did. Heh.

So yeah, don’t you forget to pray for me, ya! :)

Long walks in the dark
through woods grown behind the park
I asked God who I'm supposed to be
The stars smiled down on me
God answered in silent reverie

I just finished watching Season 4 of Grey’s Anatomy, back to back. You know the math, once I start, I can’t stop. Heh. Don’t you think that Grey’s is the best thing on TV? It has the best script, the best soundtrack and the best casts. I am so obsessed, I know.

And apparently, I'm a Meredith. I don't get it. I'm too happy to be a Meredith. Hahaha. But I so adore her. Click here to get yourself diognised ya.

Oh just so you know, the klutzy me gone klutzy again and there's a visible scar on my face as a memorabilia this time. Mengapakah? Menggoreng ikan keli lalu minyak panas meletup dan terkena di bahagian bawah mata. It's small but it hurts dan mengganggu mataku. Sigh. Not that you care. Heh.

Apparently, there’s another interview I’ve got to go to, and this time, it’s with Dato’ himself. Adoilah malasnya. If it’s up to the lazy me, I’d rather not go. But I’m no quitter; I’ve got to finish what I started. Kalau dapat, dapatlah. Kalau tak dapat, well, that means that Allah has a better plan for me. The point is, to not quit dan berusaha, kemudian barulah bertawakal dan berdoa. Kan? Bukankah begitu sepatutnya? Malas :(

I really like Richard’s advice to Izzie in Episode 12 of Season 4, Where The Wild Things Are: “Chin up. Put your shoulders back, walk proud, strut a little. Don't lick your wounds. Celebrate them. The scars you bear are the signs of a competitor. You're in a lion fight, Stevens. Just because you didn't win doesn't mean you don't know how to roar.”

So hear me roar. Sigh.

"Verily, with every difficulty, there is relief"
--- Surah Al-Insyirah

Each time I watch
Everybody Loves Raymond, I am reminded of how thankful I am for my MIL. If Marie is the MIL from hell, my MIL is the total opposite of her. Hehehe. Thank God for that.

Anyways, remember the
job interview? Well, alhamdulillah, I got the job. I know I should be happy and all ---- (a) I’m (kinda) ready to be working again, (b) it’s the largest - heck, one of the best – firm in JB, and (c) the pay is good (I haven’t seen the LO, but from the interview, I gathered that it’s going to be at least a few hundred more than what I used to get) ---- but I have this one problem. Okay lah, not problem per se. Let’s call it an ‘issue’. So I’ve got this ‘issue’. Although it is yet to be confirmed and I don’t even know the firm’s policy regarding this ‘issue’, it’s bothering me lah.

Sigh. Maybe I'm overthinking this. Sungguh serabut terasa. Why else do you think am I typing this at 3.05 in the morning? Ngeee.

Kata Homer Simpsons: "Donuts. Is there anything they can't do?"

Pada hari Sabtu, kami membawa mertua ke Tesco Extra di Plentong. After battling the traffic and long journey, kami akhirnya tiba, lalu saya berkata, “This better be good” dan Suami saya menjawab “I was about to say the same thing”. Well, fools seldom differ.

Kami melangkah masuk dan tekalah perkara pertama yang saya nampak?

Oh Big Apple, saya sungguh suka! Saya lantas beratur
dan membeli a box of 6. Saya terus menjadi suka akan Tesco.

Ya, we ended buying more than we were planning to. Kerana pilihannya begitu banyak dan harganya lebih murah. Wow wee. Antara steal of the day ialah 4 ekor ikan patin sederhana besar, segar ya, pada harga hanya RM1.50 setiap ekor. The Husband went crazy of course (kerana dia suka membeli barang basah). Kami rasa banyak kami berbelanja, tapi bayaran mencecah RM123 sahaja.

NST Wonderword puzzle. Saya sungguh suka!

Kemudiannya, saya bertemu kawan-kawan lama saya iaitu Bantoot a.k.a Cik Dina Cun serta Fadhm. Kami berbual-bual like there's no tomorrow. Sungguh gembira. Kemudiannya saya telah tidak mengendahkan nasihat Dod dan Cik Dina and went on and watched The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Oh my, sila jangan menonton melainkan anda menghidap insomnia.

Owh dan Cik Dina telah memberikan kami a box of:

Ya, nampaknya ini adalah minggu donut, khas untuk menggemukkan kami.

Akhir kata, disebabkan bukan semua dari kita adalah Pak Menteri dan kroninya atau berkahwin dengan Pak Donald Trump atau dilahirkan dalam dulang emas atau Facebook millionaire atau dari keturunan Di Raja, lalu adalah menjadi keperluan untuk kita berbelanja dengan bijak. Jangan bayar lebih, kecuali untuk kualiti dan/atau kuantiti.

D'oh, way to go, Captain Obvious :P

Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

This is inspired by Sharel's latest entry. So where were you on 08.08.08?

6.20 a.m: Woke up to Little Bro’s sms, informing that he has arrived in KT. Waited for my alarm to ring at 6.30. Solat subuh. Nap.

7.00 a.m: Ironed the Husband’s work shirt. Did some dishes. Made some Meehoon Goreng with leftover Sambal Udang from dinner yesterday.

8.00 a.m: Watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Had breakfast.

8.30 a.m: Watched the very last episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Sob sob.

9.00 a.m: Did laundry. Cleaned home. Cleaned self.

9.30 a.m: Checked the blog and read some of others'. Checked FB, Friendster and e-mails. Downloaded some songs from LimeWire.

10.00 a.m: Watched Grey’s Anatomy. Meredith in Season 1 is so damn adorable, don't you think so?

11.00 a.m: Continued surfing the WWW. Got headache. Lapar rupanya.

1.00 p.m: Reheated Meehoon for lunch. Fried some chicken to go with it. Got ready to eat with ANTM on TV. Suddenly got a phone call; a job interview at 3. Now that's a real short notice, ain't it?

2.00 p.m: Got ready for interview. Waited for the Husband to come back from Solat Jumaat to pick me up and drive me there.

3.00 p.m: Arrived. Filled up the Employment Form. Waited patiently.

3.30 p.m: Went in for a casual inteview. The interview went good but I do not know whether or not I'll be getting the job. Terserah kepadaNya, whatever it is He thinks is best for me.

4.30 p.m: Met the Husband at the Coffee Bean. Had the Ultimate Ice Blended, a gift from me to me, for finally getting my a$$ out of the couch. It sure felt weird donning work attire after a few months. Haha.

5.30 p.m: Window shopped and shopped a little. Bought some DVD and CD lanun. Bought facial cleanser at Dermal Line. Did some groceries shopping; Cold Storage is so much fun!

6.30 p.m: Went to the in laws'. Chit-chatted and had some tea. Solat Asar.

7.00 p.m: Went home. Solat Maghrib.

8.45 p.m: The Husband made dinner for us; grilled some burger and steak.

9.30 p.m: Dinner time! And it was yummy! Thank you, Hubby! Sambil-sambil, we watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which is a bore. Bleurgh.

I do not know at what time we fell asleep. In front of the TV. Ngeee. So there goes, where I was and what I did on 08.08.08.

I am so boring I know. Just shoot me.

Anyways, where were you on 08.08.08, people?

“You know what they say, it’s a jungle out there.”

1. I just finished reading Lipstick Jungle by Candace Bushnell and 15 minutes ago, I found out that the book has actually been made into a TV series and Star World will be premiering the show starting 2 Sept. I like it when that happens. Anyways, the book was a bore. I never really like chic lits anyway, except for a few very, very funny ones. But the show seems fun.

2. Turned out all I need was a date with my angels. Met up with Mazia and Dod on Monday night and came Tuesday, I was all fresh and healthy.

3. We’re planning a baby shower for our dearest Jaja (who is due on Oct!) and since I am the only one in the clan who is (currently) not working, I volunteer myself to organize it, with the help of others, of course. Dod and Naem have been really helpful :D This is the first baby in the gang so naturally we’re all very, very excited to be cool, fun aunties! Hehehe.

4. Oh my, time flies so fast; Rejab is already behind us, it’s Shaaban and alhamdulillah, soon it will be Ramadhan! InsyaAllah we’ll be back in KL in the end of Aug to celebrate the 1st of Ramadhan with my parents (and for the baby shower too). Yeay yeay I can’t wait! :D

5. It’s really cloudy here; I think it’s going to be a pretty heavy pour. I guess I should switch off every electrical appliance now and go read some book.

Heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We'll make heaven a place on earth
Heaven is a place on earth

Do you know that if you are experiencing fever, headache, rashes and joint pain, you might have contracted a viral disease called Chikungunya? So how in the world do I know that? I’ve been down with high fever (complete with severe joint pains and headache) since Sabtu petang and yesterday the Husband took me to the doctor. Apparently, I may be among the few who have been infected by the rare virus. Cumanya, saya tiada rashes. Juga sengal-sengal badan saya, semuanya telah hilang selepas mengambil Ponstan. Dan juga, saya mempunyai additional symptoms i.e. nausea and diarrhoea. So I don’t think it’s Chikungunya, however comel the name is. Any Dr. House in here? (Or even better, Dr. Chase? Ngeee)

And since I was not up for any kebiasaan berfoya-foya di hari Ahad, last night we stayed in and watch 2 very funny movies:
Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay and You Don't Mess with the Zohan; keduanya mengandungi cynical comedy mengenai stereotaip terhadap terrorism. I especially like one scene in Harold & Kumar when the douche-bag FBI agent was interrogating Harold and Kumar in the plane to Guantanamo Bay:

FBI Agent to Kumar: "So where is your Koran now?" To which Kumar replied: "I’m not even a Muslim. And even if I am, that doesn’t make me a terrorist!!!" Now that’s good stuff.

I just watched the very first episode of Grey’s Anatomy on Star World and I gotta say that it feels good to (re)watch the beginning of greatness. Ya, saya memang over-appreciative. Ngeee. And I just realized that Meredith’s house number is 303, which is my angka hari jadi, 30 hari bulan 3. Irrelevant I know. Tapi saya merasa suka. Boleh, kan?

Oh and in case I haven’t said it enough, I think medical practitioners are the noblest, toughest and smartest people. Thank you, doctors!
