No man needs a vacation so much as the man who has just had one” – Elbert Hubbard

POST-VACATION SYNDROME (“PVS”) is "the general feeling of discomfort caused by a person's inability to adapt to work after finishing the vacation" and according to the research done by the University of Granada, Spain, PVS can cause physical and psychological symptoms including tiredness, lack of appetite, lack of concentration, abnormally rapid heartbeat, muscular ache, irritability, anxiety, sadness, couldn't-care-less attitude and a deep feeling of emptiness.

--------------------------------------------------

I believe the three of us are experiencing PVS. Myself with Tuesday blues and my lackadaisical attitude towards work today. Oh the baby pun Tuesday blues, tantrum hampir sepanjang pagi, merengek tanpa sebab and showing signs of separation anxiety. And the husband, well, his is not exactly PVS; he is down with fever symptoms. We suspect it could be the raw shucked oyster he had at Hard Rock Hotel lunch buffet on Monday. Oh well.

Drama much, huh? Hahaha. But yeah, we miss Sentosa Island. We miss our hotel room at the Siloso Beach Resort; the soft bed, fantastic sea view, private jacuzzi, roof top garden. I miss the comforting sound of the waves. I am sure the baby misses our fun time at the beach and the hotel’s gorgeous pool. We miss the foods galore; oh scrumptious salmon, cod, dory, prawn and for the husband, his favourite virgin pina colada. Oh how I miss everybody's infectious happy mood. Positivity and cheerfulness were in the air all over Sentosa Island!

The baby, waiting for Papa at the hotel reception area. Siloso Beach Resort is an echo-friendly hotel dan sungguh hijau menenteramkan mata dan jiwa. Will update on the place later, with tips and pictures from the husband’s camera. Soon, when I have the time.

Funny how PVS hit us as soon as we entered JB check point; when I asked the husband whether we should go for groceries shopping, he said "Tak nak balik cepat sangat to reality. Groceries shopping macam 'reality' sangat. Let's go home and sleep instead." Hahaha.

Sigh. I think what I miss most about the short vacation is the quiet, wonderful time my husband and I had together; no phone calls, no problems, no work deadline, nothing in between.

Just the two of us, and our Hadi, the love of our life :)
