Great Men

Many ppl like to read the stories of the lives of great men. Saye juge. I read on great law reformers among which are Henry Boustead (1200-1268), judge pertama yg make law into science and cakap "The King is under no man, but under the God and law" [sgt berani]; Sir Edward Coke (1552-1634) yg telah di described as "what Shakespeare has been to literature, what Bacon is to philosophy, what the translators of the authorised version of Bible have been to religion, Coke has been to public & private law of England." Yea bravo. Lagi, Sir William Blackstone (1723-1780) who studied too long and too much; took no exercise sbb he hated it; ate too much, got fatter and fatter; died at 57. Next is Lord Brougham (1778-1868), judge yang dabbled in science, politics, lit, law, everything, and was desribed as 'magnificent oddity'. Woohoo. And of course, everyone's fave, Lord Denning. I like him too, as he is so good in his writing, sgt suke menulis [his books are good, altho baru baca 3 je], the way die fikir and gave precedents mmg bijak sgt2 la, tapi lets read pasal my new idol.

Lord Mansfield (1705-1793)

Die hated law books. Founder of commercial law [which I like]. He infused equity and good conscience into the rigid formulae of law [brilliant tak?]. Die was the 1st yg menegaskan pasal freedom of religion, yg pada mase tu sume org kecam la, but now.. jadi one of our rights kan. The great Lord Mansfield wrote no law books, or other books, but he was very very eloquent. He made speeches. And he was known as 'the great Lord Mansfield'. Ooh my idol.
