“There’s more, too: I’m charmed by the fact that Jane has always displayed her emotions with childlike ease. When she’s sad she cries; when she’s happy she laughs; and she enjoys nothing more than to be surprised with wonderful gesture. In those moments, there’s an ageless innocence about her, and though surprise by definition is unexpected, for Jane, the memories of surprise can arouse the same excited feelings for years afterward. Sometimes when she’s daydreaming, I’ll ask her what she’s thinking of and she’ll suddenly begin speaking in giddy tones about something I’ve long forgotten.
This, I must say, has never ceased to amaze me.”

The above is one of many anecdotes Wilson Lewis has about her lovely wife, Jane, in my all time favourite love story, The Wedding (by Nicholas Sparks). I just have to write it down here because when I recited this to Daud, he thought that Jane really resemble me. Teehee. Anyway, I read this book again after answering the Book Survey, wanting to be reminded why I love this book so. What is it about this sequel to The Notebook, that after every few pages, tears would naturally spring to my eyes? Let’s just say that after reading it again for the umpteen times, I fell in love with Wilson Lewis and all his life, all over again.
