Betapa luar biasanya nikmat berbuka puasa semalam kerana betapa luar biasanya keletihan yang dialami.

Betapalah sukarnya untuk membeli. I’ve been searching high and low for this particular Elle handbag but to no avail. Ada di Midvalley but not in the colour yang diingini. And today I went to Sogo (Madness! People were berebut-ing over everything) with intent to buy this particular shoe I saw in Eh! but again, to no avail. Baguslah, selamat RM gua (for now).

I finally got the car; the latest addition to the family is named Minami. Disebabkan ia adalah AMT, in my world, that would mean it is a khunsa or that it swings both ways (Get it? Auto = Female, Manual = Male. Ngee) Like I told Sweetheart and Naem, I named it Minami kerana Ultraman Ace is a khunsa too (Hakuto + Minami = Ultraman Ace) but calling it Ultraman Ace macam tak comel. So Minami it is. Shadap you.

I am in love with Mika’s Life in Cartoon Motion; been listening to the cd (juga lanun) over and over again, in the car, at the office. Gua addicted lah beb.

Menarik sungguh cd lanun Take That, Beautiful World yang gua beli di Batu Feringghi Night Market itu; siap ada bonus track which includes lagu2 lama mereka. Baru gua sedar, my favourite Take That song ialah Could It Be Magic! Sangatlah pop-ish. My Encik Robbie pasti malu dengan nyanyian solo beliau di dalam lagu itu. Teehee.

Tiba-tiba gua rasa nak tahu, does Ayunik has any favourite boy band song? I so want to know! Hence, I am tagging Ayunik dan semua yang rasa nak jawab - tell me your favourite boy band song, favourite rock kapak song and favourite dangdut song! Oh kalau malas you can just reply di sini.

My favourite boy band songs (I shamelessly admit that I dig boy band songs. Ngeh ngeh. Jadi ada banyakla. Here’s naming a few): Could It Be Magic by Take That, I Love the Way You Love Me by Boyzone, Flying Without Wings and What Makes A Man by Westlife and When the Lights Go Out by 5ive. Hahaha. Tacky I know.

My favourite rock kapak song are Bunga Angkasa by Terra Rossa and Dari Sinar Mata by Bumiputra Rockers. Layaaaan.

My favourite dangdut song is Yang Sedang-Sedang Saja by Iwan sebab aku rasa lagu itu comel. Shadap you.

First day back from my (fun fun fun) holiday, nak bermalas-malasan tapi kerja bertimbun-timbunan. Kini tepat jam 8 malam, masih di office - How pathetic is that? As a consolation kan, a partner kan, made a passing statement to a client today and made my day. How so?

I like the 8TV Quickie host (who plays Haikal in G&G the Series). He’s cool!

I like Ustaz Zamri from Akademi Al-Quran/Mari Mengaji. I find him charming.

I like the Prince(s) of Wales. I watched the NBC interview yesterday on Hallmark and I fell in love with them. How very Diana they are!

I like Mike Delfino more and more these days. I think he is hot.

I like the way McDreamy looks at Meredith when she sleeps. Dreamy.

I like Oprah. Need I say why? It is no wonder she tops Forbes list for the Most Influential Celebrity.

I like Kamala’s manic character in Puteri. She cheers up my Rabu night.

I like this 12 year old contestant of MyStarz and Studio Bintang Kecil. Emeer kot namanya. Such a big talent for such a small kid!

I like Samantha Brown from Passport to Europe. She is a damn good travel host. And her job is a dream!

An hour of Oprah a day is good for my soul. She makes me want to be a better person. Andrew Matthews' books have the same effect on me. Alaa banyakla sebenarnya benda/orang yang buat aku mahu jadi a better person. Oprah's show and Andrew’s books adalah segelintir, to name two :-)

Now this is what family is all about. You know how I feel about accused persons – they are innocent until proven guilty. And family’s love and support, that's priceless. (Pictures are from here and here)

I'm a firestarter, twisted firestarter!

We celebrated Father’s Day doing what Bapak likes best (okay, selain gardening), barbeque! It took quite a while masa nak membarakan arang sebab tak jumpa fire starter (ingat tak lagu Fire Starter by Prodigy yang aneh itu? Hahaha lawak) dan angin was sangat kuat hence penggunaan getah sebagai fire starter menjadi gagal. But Ibu, a positive woman she always is, menyarankan pembakaran arang di atas dapur, and voila, garden BBQ picnic bermula! Heh. Happy Father’s Day, Bapak! We love you!

Isk. The pic was taken semalam on Ayunik & I last date with Ayin sebelum Ayin disambar orang. Isk isk syahdu pula terasa. Sob. Tapi haruslah dikenang favourite phrase kami, "Kawan sampai syurga". But still. Isk isk.

It is an overplayed cliché. But when Rev Run said it on Oprah, aku terkesan. "Instead of mourning over your losses, be thankful for what you have".

Instead of being irritated by sikap sesetengah manusia yang menjengkelkan, be thankful for sikap manusia lain yang menyenangkan.

Instead of being spiteful about the masalah gaji, be thankful for the wonderful working environment and the (somewhat) satisfying job.

Instead of grieving tak habis2 about the one ‘lost’ friend (dia bukan ingat lu pun AM), be thankful for the many many good ones around.

Instead of whining about being traumatic with lampu brek and about Kiki yang kini cacat kerana besi2 depannya telah bengkang-bengkok, be thankful for being alive and healthy (walaupun mengalami cramp here and there).

There’s this blogger, Lolyta. She does this inspiring ritual she calls Thankful Tuesday, di mana dia akan menyenaraikan perkara2 yang membuat dia bersyukur, setiap Selasa. Good for the soul, don’t you think so?

A lot of things to be thankful for. But let me leave that between me and Allah. Let us all be thankful today. Alhamdulillah.

Aku anti betul orang yang hobinya menyibuk atau dalam bahasa lembutnya, menjaga tepi kain. Terutama bila aku tak ganggu hidup kau. Terutama bila aku tidak anti kau pada asalnya. Kau buang masa aku dengan amarah. Jangan. Aku bagi warning ni. Jangan. Aku berpegang pada prinsip “Aku tak kacau kau, sila jangan kacau aku”. You don’t want to mess with me. Aku tahu aku hanya 155 cm dan kelihatan selalu ceria, tapi sila jangan cuba. Apa yang aku tunjukkan tadi hanya 5% saja dari kemarahan aku kerana aku telah selangi dengan gurauan. Begitu juga kebangkitan (dalam kelembutan) aku tempoh hari terhadap ‘one of the irritating people here’ - itu hanya 30%. It could get uglier. Do. Not. Mess. With. Me.

I nearly had an accident this morning. It was so close. If not for my proven maneuverability skill (alhamdulillah), I’d surely be in hospital (if not worse) by now. I blame myself for (a) tidak membaiki Kiki's brake even though I know there is something wrong with it; and (b) wanting a new car and Kiki found out and now Kiki is against me (I believe cars have souls too). I’d rather not describe the details of the event, but Subhanallah, I humbly thank Allah, di atas satu lagi peluang. It was so close. Alhamdulillah.

If you were to eliminate bridesmaids,
then who would confuse the evil spirits?

After 2 meals in Sogo, 3 visits to Pertama Complex Musalla and 10++ hours of exploring Jalan TAR dari hulu ke hilir, we finally managed to get all the tudungs Ayin needs for her wedding receptions, the veil for her Aqad ceremony and the material for my bridesmaid's outfits. 10++ hours!

Itulah yang berlaku when Fickle #1 and Fickle #2 shop together. Bila Fickle #1 (Ayin) letih dan rasa ‘bolehlah ni’, Fickle #2 (me) encouraged her to ‘cari sampai jumpa yang betul2 suka’. Bila Fickle #2 rasa berdosa sebab too choosy, Fickle #1 assured Fickle #2 that it is okay and understandable. Dahtu macam mana? Haha. Despite the keletihan and sore legs, we definitely enjoyed our shopping trip. 85% of missions were accomplished.

Quick trivia on bridesmaid (yes, I am honoured to be Ayin's and I take the responsibility seriously. Hahaha): Bridesmaids are very important to the welfare of the Bride! If you were to eliminate bridesmaids, then who would confuse the evil spirits? That’s right, it was thought by the Ancient Egyptians that when a couple were to wed, evil spirits would come to ruin the good mood and atmosphere of the event with trickery and black magic. I don’t want to write about the latest episode of Grey’s as it was too depressing. Walaupun the episode of Desperate Housewives I watched yesterday which caused me inadequate sleep (it finished at 1 ++ am) adalah sangat best, gua malas nak komen. And Raymond, he scored big time on yesterday's show (yang gua dah tengok 3 kali) with his newspaper column dedicated to Debra. Kan, Sweetheart?

So I am writing about Rossa! Did you get to watch Rossa on Nite of Soulful Stars yesterday? She was smoking hot! Powerful sultry vocal, effective body language, just-enough comel-ness, she’s hot lah! And although aku tak pernah dengar most of the songs she sang, I fell in love with them instantly. Cubalah dengar Wanita Yang Kau Pilih (sangat indah), Sakura (typically Melly’s, very catchy and radio-friendly), Atas Nama Cinta (sedang ngetop sekarang) and Perawan Cinta. Beautiful-lah! I was glued to NTV7. I’ll definitely get myself a copy of her latest album. On second thought, maybe I’ll just download them from Esnips. Oops.

For months, I’ve been trying to buy a car through a Malay agent. Months! Ada-ada je masalah. Masalah2 yang couldn’t be comprehended, alasan2 yang couldn’t be accepted. I have no bad record with any bank. I don’t even own a credit card. I’m an earning adult with good job and no tanggungan. Sungguhlah tak faham. Months, okay?! When pressed by my dad yesterday, baru dia beritahu, the car she promised us, dia telah terjual to someone else. TER! Her nerve! My dad memang pro-Chinese dalam hal2 macam ni. Pertama kali kami mencuba agent Melayu untuk ‘tolong Melayu’. Tapi?!! Huh. Like Sweetheart said, “Kalau Melayu tak nak tolong diri sendiri, kita takyahlah susah2 nak tolong dia”. This is of course, not a generalization. As a Malay myself, I believe that this is merely a setitik nila, banyak lagi susu di luar sana. It’s just that, kami dah letih menunggu.

I had a great time on Saturday, meeting my girls for Milia’s lovely wedding dan kemudiannya for minum-minum and borak-borak at the Summit. After every session with my girls, gua akan tulis, “It was so much fun”. Hahaha. Maybe it is because of my vocabulary handicap. Atau mungkin kerana memang ia sentiasa so much fun! Hehe. Cannot wait for our trip to Penang; our last trip before one of us, our dear Far, my dearest Kindred Spirit menjadi isteri orang. Things will definitely change, but change is not always a bad thing. We'll be okay. After all, girlfriends are forever.

Cerita lain - Siapa yang selalu berjalan dengan gua knows that gua selalu tertinggal kasut gua, ada je tempat dia nak tersangkut - tangga, divider jalan, longkang, jeriji etc etc. Far used to call me Cinderella for that. At least Cinderella tertinggal kasut dia sekali je, and resulted brilliantly. Heh. Anyways, tadi tertinggal kasut lagi near to my parking place. Cheh buat malu je. Ramai orang! Nasib baik gua kamceng dengan pakcik jaga parking tu, ada jugak geng nak gelak bersama. Hahaha. Tiada motif.
