Movie Review

I'm no more a movie deprived. I watched 2 movies today- Shrek 2 and Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam. It is certainly unfair to compare between these two kan? Heh. Hence, no comparison. Just simple reviews.

Shrek 2 is superb from the very beginning. Witty dialogs. Funny characters [I am in luv with the cat] Cool soundtrack. Jalan cerita sangat comel. Sume la. Shrek needs no more kata2 pujian. 4 out of 5.


PHSM. Believe me or not, it is pretty good. In fact, kalo nak compare with Malay movies lately ni, PHSM deserves an applause. I went to watch with little expectation, [and I always try to be nice to Malay productions] but with hope for Shuhaimi Baba. Well, good story line. Lakonan pon quite ok. Ok la. I love the Gamelan songs!!! [yg mostly nye I used to play :D] Ermm, even better dari most Korean/ Japanese/ Chinese horror flicks.

Maya Karin is a vamp. She is smoking gorgeous. And surprise surprise, her acting has improved a lot since No Problem [tidaaaak!! nape aku penah menontonnye?!!] The show stealer saye beri kepada Azri Iskandar. Rosyam, kasi je la watak apa, bole je. And Eizlan.. the pretty boy.. tak penah sebelom ni rase die comel.. tapi die comel!!! [bf saye lagi comel tapinye heh] Now the theme song 'Pulangkan' by Misha Omar makes sense - "saat bunyi bersatu, kau milikku" Heh.

My mom ate bubur ayam McD tonite and tetibe brought back memories mase my boifren was here in Malaysia.. well, it's almost one year since we last met.. and not a memory erased. That particular nite he was sick - tekejot panas sgt kat Mesia ni and kuar hari2 [ngade!] Doktor tak kasi die kuar and 2 days kot tak jumpe. Mlm tu, merajok [sbb sumeorg neglect Ayah Su yg saket n menumpukan perhatian kpd newborn Nadhirah hehe] and hungry he was, I was at my friend's finishing our assignment.. he called, and I tros rushed to pick him up. See, despite being the paranoid and [sometimes] ungrateful gelfren that I am, I actually am a good gelfren la. Hehe. It was already late that nite, so we had only 2 choices: Mamak or McD and he chose McD and ate bubur ayam McD. Hehe. 2-2 selebet gile. Me, fresh from 'work', and him, the sick puppy he was.. tapi still managed to be the cutest to my eyes. Heh. Woohoo enough enough. Jiwang mode has to stop. I miss you, sweetheart.

Fantastic Finish


Yeay. Fantasia voted as the new American Idol, beating cutey Diana and joining my current fave, Kelly Clarkson, and the lovable Rubben. I didn't get to watch the result show [kejela] but Aniz sms-ed me and told me the result [glad ade repeat]. [Just for the record, my fave contestant for this season is still JPL.] He's just soooo adorable!]And I watched yesterday's show.. where Fantasia nailed all the judges with splendid performances. I don't actually like her voice [mcm Macy Gray kan?], tapi memang sgt powerla.. and she is so self-assured, so comfortable and confident in her own skin.. buat org can't help it but to love her. "I was trying to get to this place, and I did it," the 19-year-old single mom from High Point, N.C., said after the show. "I've never had so much love. People love me and accept me for being me." Obviously, she was right as she is now the new ppl's idol.

Yoanna is the America's Next Top Model [tq Shay for the update]. Huwa the only week I didn't watch was the final show. Yeay. Suke Yoanna. She is a classic beauty. And although I do not like her figure [as I prefer curvy body sbb curves lebih feminine la], she is so pretty, and so nice [sumeorg suke die, even if die tak menang any comp dlm cite tu, org yg menang mesti bawak die to enjoy the reward, thus proving that she is lovable]. She looks cute in everything, be it long locks, crops, french couture, street wears etc etc. In the beginning, my vote was for April sbb die has this rare, unique cuteness, yg in the same time sgt elegant and die so so smart.. tapi, week after week die mcm jadi kureng bes and as they said it.. "she thinks too much, when
modelling is all about art and passion." Nape tak suke 'smart' model? Heh. The 1st ENTM pon, Elis was voted out sbb she was err.. too smart?! Ok enough rambling. Yeay for Yoanna. She deserves it!

Love For Riau

Just got back dari Riau. Went there for my 2nd cousin's wedding, or as they call it, Pesta. Seriously fun. Jumpe relatives yg bes banget, learned new culture [altho masyarakat Riau tak la jauh sgt beze since 90% of the population are Malays.] Now, it's crystal that I have Indonesian origin. Hehe. Riau is famous for telekong with rich kerawang and kain2 yg cantek [esp lace] sgt murah!!! My mom went crazy la obviously. Me.. heh.. bought a really pretty kain kaler pink with its kain batik and shawl. Waa cantek!! Most of my relatives work with kerajaan, so hidup mereka bagus sekali. And their children skrg sume kerja bagus2 banget.. lawyer la [atau mereka bilang, Pengacara].. dokter la.. engineer la. Heh. Bagus skali. All of them [termasukla Bapak2 taksi dan manusie2 yg kami ketemu di sana] bilang mereka sgt respek pada Malaysia. Malaysia bagus. Yeay. Proud to be Malaysian. Heh. Well, Riau best.

To be proposed by your sweetheart and winning $1 M all in one night.. what more could a girl ask for? Amber won Survivor All Stars, no shock, considering the evil paths Rob has been plotting. Rob should have won in my opinion. He is a true survivor, although strategy wise sangat jahat, tapi Amber was a free rider.. ain't that worse? Heh. Anyway.. Amber looked gorgeous [as always] in that I LOVE ROB baby tee and Rob looked err.. chubby?! But the glory is all Rupert's when he was voted as American's choice Survivor [so I read], and received $1 M as well. Rupert's the king. Yeay.

a mountain of respect for the two UiTM students [one applied science student and the other is a sport science student] di atas kejayaan mereka menawan puncak everest. sekaligus membuatkan mereka the 1st malay youths dan membuatkan UiTM the 1st Uni in Asia Tenggara to tawan Everest. yeay. Dr. M must be proud.

Emotional Intelligence

My boss won his criminal case today. Yippee. He got the person acquitted. Tahniah, Mr. Boss. Mr. Boss told me that among his first cases is a case in which he was defending a 14 y old boy who murdered a 5 y old girl. The boy certainly did it. But he could got acquitted [due to some sort of conspiracy involving an adult], should had Mr. Boss tried, but Mr. Boss did not. This is because he said that he himself has children of his own. What if kejadian yang berlaku pada the girl happen to his daughter?! Being an ethical lawyer, he still defended the boy, but instead of freeing him, he asked for mitigation, and sent the boy to Henry Gurney school for 5 years in hope that the experience would change the boy for the better [which I doubt]. Now, that's a lawyer with conscience.

Sgt suke ajar. Bile ade keje, bes. Bile tade, ngantuk [mcm tak biase je]. Haha. Feveret time: lunch hour. Yum yum sonok. Not the eating part la sonok, jln2 tgh2 KL sorang2, tgk manusie yg mcm2 ragam.. woohoo. [Kindy dear, you should understand how fun it is.. kan?! Heh. Hey, good luck to you too Kin. Hope [and sure] you are doing great]. Well, for now, my conclusion on this attachment thingy is.. it is one good exposure. Been good.

I finished reading [over and over again] Nicholas Sparks' The Wedding. I don't know what was it with me [except for being the hopeless romantic I am. Heh], but I cried too many times throughout my reading. The story and words fit my heartbeat perfectly. Aah, words escape me by now, but it is simply beautiful. And I loved it.
