Learned a new case kat Jurisprudence pasal sodomy. In Texas, this male couple was caught in the act. And penalised la. In Texas, sodomy yg melibatkan same sex genders adalah an offence, tapi it's ok to do it to ur wife [sori for my language kalo offended]. So they went up to court and brought up the issue of equality between genders [for the fact yang why can do it to woman, not male?] and privacy [as their sexual life/ preferece/ behaviour -whatever u like to call it- is their own private matter.. why bother? Even Imam Al-Ghazali once wrote pasal takleh invade privacy org lain mcm Khalifah Umar pernah once did, his nawaitu was baik, but the cara is salah- invasion of privacy] The case is still on trial I think. But it got me thinking. Why is it an offence? Because it is immoral? Eih? Siape yg tentukan sodomy is an immoral thing. Sure, Islam is against it. But we are talking about Western community here, kenapa haram dlm komuniti sekular juge? Why? Why is it immoral? It is just a sexual preference kan, does not make those yg practice sodomy tu bad ppl.
